So ist es folgerichtig, dass auch die Methoden aus der systemischen Therapie und Beratung in der Arbeit mit Menschen mit geistigen Behinderungen und auffälligem Verhalten Einzug gehalten haben.

In Kapitel 1 wird die Entstehungsgeschichte der systemischen Therapie und Beratung dargestellt. Anschließend werden im zweiten Kapitel die Systemtheorie sowie der Konstruktivismus skizziert. Diese bilden die zwei wesentlichen erkenntnistheoretischen Modelle, auf denen das systemische Denken und Handeln basiert. Das three. Kapitel stellt die Grundprinzipien systemischer Praxis vor. Im Anschluss daran wird in Kapitel four schließlich das systemische Handeln in der Arbeit mit Menschen mit geistigen Behinderungen konkretisiert.
